Why the Group?

 

The world is a very different place from when I was a 'young person'. I see the many challenges the younger generation of today face and want to offer something in the hope you may take something away that will support you now or in the future.

Even though I work in the energy healing world, it feels important to clarify this group is not being run as a 'Spiritual Sacred Women's Circle'.  

For 30 years I explored various modalities for grief and trauma support.  Nothing seemed to offer what I felt I needed, and it became clear 6 sessions of talking therapy was not the answer for me!  Searching for the right practitioner to work with felt a mission in itself and an expensive one in the process.

From 2021 I finally found the right practitioners for me.   It has been and continues to be phenomenal and transformative.  A whole new world opened up, experiencing nervous system regulation, processing trauma, grief and feeling into a whole range of emotions we carry as we navigate this crazy path called life.  It brought validation on what would have helped me over 30 years, and I now want to share this knowledge with you.

A big thing to come from the last four years was discovering parts of me as a woman I never even knew existed, or maybe they once did and were forgotten. It certainly led me to reflect on past relationships from a teenager to age 30 years.

January 2024 was a profound year reconnecting with my body.  I continue to build upon this and feel ready to set up a group for young women.
 

I am open, honest and caring, with decades of life experiences ranging from fantastic, hilarious, humbling, regretful, painful to heartbreaking. All bringing invaluable insights and wisdom. 

Although I have run support groups and befriending services whilst running a charity, I am not a trained counsellor.  I am simply a woman 'of a certain age' with a young outlook on life, open to discussing anything and everything in this Young Women's Group to offer fresh perpectives for you.  Not everyone has an open minded parent or older friendship group, and my hope is this new group will help fill that void for some, and also connect you with like minded people of a similar age.
 

April 2025 I finally found a lovely room to hold such group in the heart of Exeter City Centre, located in Gandy Street, a few minutes walk from Exeter Central train station.

The first session is Wednesday 23 July and I am offering this for FREE as an introduction, for you to meet me and see if the group feels a good fit.  For any new people attending in the future, the first session will always be offered for free.

If anyone needs more specific support we can speak separately away from the group and I will do my best to find someone to signpost you to.
 

A friendly welcome awaits and I am very excited to see how the group evolves over time.
